(Riverton, Wyo.) – Tomorrow marks the annual Jackalope Jump to raise funds for Special Olympics Wyoming.
The Jackalope Jump pits participants against their fears of cold water and wold weather. Individuals climb a ladder before jumping into an icy pool. The local National Weather Service Office is forecasting a sunny day tomorrow in Riverton, with a high of 43.
Riverton’s Jump will be held in the parking lot in from of City Hall on North Federal Boulevard. Registration opens at 11 a.m. with the jump to take place at 12 p.m.
All proceeds go toward hosting the Special Olympics. To participate, solo jumpers must raise at least $100. Teams of five are required to chip in at least $50 apiece.
T-Shirts to commemorate the event will be provided to those who pre-registered and maybe to those who register day-of depending on supplies. Online registration can be completed here.
A Jackalope Jump is scheduled in Lander for March 27.
