(Lander, Wyo.) – Joseph Jack (Joe) Herbst, 74 died Friday, February 15, 2013 at the Wind River Health Care and Rehabilitation Center. He was born on July 3, 1938. A private family burial will be held on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at the Mountain View Cemetery in Riverton under the direction of the Hudson’s Funeral Home. A memorial gathering and celebration will be held this summer in July.

(Lander, Wyo.) – Project Graduation, the all-night chemical free celebration for Lander graduates, is one of Lander’s most vital and positive traditions. Begun over 20 years ago, the event prevents injury and death from alcohol and drug-related incidents during the high-risk time for our teens. Project Graduation is sponsored by parent volunteers and the seniors themselves. Together, we raise the necessary funds to ensure that all graduating seniors from LVHS and Pathfinder are invited to attend the event and celebrate together—creating great memories of their graduation night.
