Lander City Council to tackle third reading of liquor sales hours changes and community center funding applications

(Lander, Wyo.) – Tuesday night’s Lander City Council meeting will open at 6 p.m. at City Hall with a public hearing regarding funding applications for the community center rebuild.

The public hearing regards a $150,000 loan application to the Business Ready Community Grant and Loan Program and a grant application to the same organization for $500,000. Both applications are slated for approval later in the meeting.

Third and final readings of ordinances altering parking of large vehicles on streets requirements and changing Sunday liquor sales hours are scheduled. Read the latest about the liquor sales hours changes here.

The council will also hear a report from Water Treatment Plant Supervisor Shane White and a request to reduce a water bill from Teresa McKee. The request includes water lost during a water line break.

A work session will follow the regular meeting. In it, Dowl HKM’s Diane Oress will update the council on the Wastewater Lagoon Project and is slated to request additional funds. Staff will also provide other general updates.
