FCSD#25 Trustees to approve Admin and Supervisor contracts for 2013-14 tonight; Accept resignations

(Riverton, Wyo.) – The Fremont County School District #25 Board of Trustees meets tonight in regular session at 7 p.m. The agenda includes approving on second reading a policy on Children in the Work place that was okayed at the board’s last meeting, and presentation of the Military Science Most Outstanding Student by School Resource Office Cody Myers.
Three District #25 staff members have submitted letters of resignation, which will be addressed Tuesday night. The letters are from Owen Lampert, Nancy Kindle and William Reiter. Supt. Terry Snyder has recommended acceptance of the resignations, with regret.
The trustees will also also be asked to approved contracts for the District’s Administrators and Supervisors. Snyder has recommended contracts for the 2013-14 year as follows:

John Griffith, Assistant High School Principal
Cheryl Mowry, Middle School Principal
Curt Collins, Assistant Middle School Principal

Alleta Baltes, Ashgrove Elementary Principal
Andrea Verosky, Aspen Park Elementary Principal
Jeremy Hill, Activities Director
Myron Peabody, Technology Director
Barry Capellen, Transportation Supervisor
Larry Hartwell, Supervisor of Buildings and Grounds
Diana Cooper, Supervisor of Aquatic Center
Candace McCue, Executive Assistant
The Trustees will also be asked to adopt a revised job description for the Assistant Superintendent, a position which is being vacated this year by Kim McKinnon, who has served the district for the past three decades.
Out of State travel requests will be considered for the Multi-Cultural Club at RHS to travel to Omaha, NE for the All Nations Powwow at Creighton University.
A number of information items are also on the agenda, including recognition of the Golden K Kiwanis Club’s donation of $100 to Aspen Park Elementary for students in need; a Wyoming High School Activities Association Good Sportsmanship Awards that were presentd to Camille Whiteman, Kade Salisbury, Chade Hanson and Andrew Dayton.
Joey Mitchell’s hiring as a para-professional at Rendezvous School, and Stephen Parker’s promotion to Head Lifeguard at the Riverton Aquatic Center will also be noted, and Snyder will give an update on the District’s current enrollment.
An executive session has been planned at the end of the meeting for a student discipline issue.
