CWC still in hunt for top spot in Region IX, travel to #1 Sheridan Saturday

Central takes down Western Wyoming
The Rustlers traveled to Western Wyoming College in Rock Springs on Wednesday night looking to stay in the first place race. CWC is tied with Casper College for second place in the region after their overtime loss to the Thunderbirds last Saturday.
Wednesday night, the Rustlers started out fast and never looked back. CWC took a 3 point lead into halftime. In the second half, the Rustlers slowly pulled away to earn a 69-61 victory. The Rustlers were led by Armani Flannigan’s (19 points and 6 rebounds) and Austin Hudson’s (12 points and 4 rebounds). CWC’s men are in action Saturday night at Sheridan College at 5:00 p.m.

Lady Rustlers downed by Western Wyoming
The Lady Rustlers traveled to Western Wyoming College on Wednesday night and lost to the Mustangs 75-59. The Mustangs were on fire in the first half and pulled away early and not letting CWC back into game. The Lady Rustlers were led by Stephanie Smith’s ( 21 points and 8 rebounds) and Marissa Hogan’s (14 points and 4 assists). The Lady Rustlers are in action on Saturday afternoon at Sheridan College at 3:00 p.m.
