(Lander, Wyo.) – Good morning, Fremont County. Today is Groundhog Hog and Lander Lil poked her head out for just a few minutes before disappearing again.

However, she was a little cranky at the hubbub of the day and didn’t make it clear whether she saw her shadow or not. According to national news reports, Lil’s cousin Punxsutawney Phil didn’t see his shadow, thereby predicting an early start to spring.

But with Lander Lil’s uncooperative spirit this morning, we’re not sure what that means for Fremont County.

So what do you think, local animal-whisperers and weather forecasters? Did she see her shadow or not? Will the frigid temperatures continue for six more weeks or will spring come early?
