Riverton Police Department

Arrests:

Michael Smith, 21, Kinnear, arrested on a Failure to Appear warrant.

Michael Thomson, 52, Riverton, arrested on a courtesy hold.

Dominic Arthur, 44, Arapahoe, arrested for Breach of the Peace. Arthur was arrested following a 9:30 p.m. report of a fight on the 200 block of West Adams Avenue.

Bonnie Lobdell, 47, Riverton, arrested on a Probation Revocation.

Calls:

At 8:42 a.m. on Wednesday, police were called to the 400 block of East Pine Street for a report of a garbage container that fell off a sanitation vehicle and damaged a fence.

At 12:01 p.m. police took a report of a stolen vehicle from a woman on the 900 block of East Sunset Drive. The woman said she has been unable to locate her vehicle anywhere.

At 1:33 p.m., police received a call about a man at the intersection of North Fifth Street East and East Fremont Avenue who urinated on the street. Capt. Eric Murphy said the individual was not intoxicated.

At 3:56 p.m., police received a call about a woman who came to a home on the 1200 block of East Washington Avenue with two children. She later left with another adult woman, and the caller was concerned the children were left alone. It was determined a babysitter was left with the children.

Citations were issued to a couple juvenile boys who shoplifted from Smiths Food & Drug around 5 p.m.

At 6:08 p.m., EMS transported a subject to the hospital who was passed out on a bench by the bike path.

At 7:25 p.m., police were called by a man who was out of town and said he hadn’t heard from his wife for three hours, which was unusual. He called police back about 20 minutes later and said she called him.

 

Fremont County Sheriff’s Office

Arrests:

None.

Calls:

At 7:43 a.m. on Wednesday, a person at the Fremont County Shop outside of Lander reported a chain link fence was torn down. The caller said it looked like a vehicle hit it.

At 8:24 a.m., a woman in Arapahoe reported that the neighbor’s horse was trying to get through her fence to be with her horses. She said it was an ongoing issue, and she had a similar problem on Monday.

At 4:24 p.m. on Wednesday, deputies took a call of a truck heading into Riverton from the north that passed a stopped school bus with its stop sign out. Wyoming Highway Patrol handled the call.

At 7:32 p.m., a deputy reported finding a play set and part of a stove dumped on the side of the road on the 300 block of Burma Road.

At 3:57 a.m. on Thursday, deputies were called about a house party at location on the 1500 block of East Monroe Avenue. The caller said there were children at the residence. The report was determined to be unfounded.

 

Lander Police Department

Arrests:

Daniel Caldwell, 19, Windsor, Colo., for Felony Larceny. A 17-year-old Lander boy was also charged with Felony Larceny. Lander Police Chief Jim Carey said the pair has been charged with the theft of a snowmobile and trailer that was reported stolen at about 8:45 p.m. on Sunday. Carey said the theft was reported from Jefferson Street and while responding an officer noticed two men unloading a snowmobile on the 400 block of Lincoln street. The pair were contacted at about 9 p.m. that evening. The 2012 Polaris and its trailer, valued at about $10,000, have been returned to the owner.

Calls:

A report of $36,000 worth of checks written on a family’s bank account has increased to $72,000. Carey said a suspect has been identified and more information should be available soon.

At 12:55 p.m. on Wednesday, police received a call about littering behind Wyoming Catholic College’s building on the 300 block of Main Street.

A hit and run causing damage to a blue 2007 Subaru was reported on the 200 block of Washakie Street. The caller believed the wreck occurred some time overnight.

At 3:36 p.m., police received a call about a possibly intoxicated individual at Video Warehouse. The caller said there were children in the person’s car. Police determined the driver of the vehicle was not intoxicated.
