Former Shoshoni Postal worker sentenced for misappropriation of funds

(Cheyenne, Wyo.) – Eleanor Perry, 41, now living in Thermopolis, a former Postmaster at the U.S. Post Office in Shoshoni, was sentenced by Federal District Court Judge Scott W. Skavdahl on January 23, 2013, for misappropriation of postal funds. According to the U.S. Attorney’s office in Cheyenne, Perry was employed at several post offices, in Fremont and Carbon counties, and Federal prosecutors claim she misappropriated the funds between April 24, 2010 and December 14, 2011, “from several locations.” Perry received five years probation and was ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $5,861.05.
This case was investigated by the U.S. Postal Service.
