Police Blotter: Arrests; Deputies called on house cleaners; Body found at Riverton motel; 12 cited with alcohol at CWC Sunday morning

Fremont County Sheriff’s Office
Blake Armajo, 24, Riverton, Probation Revocation Warrant.
At 1:37 p.m., Monday a woman in Riverton reported two Great Danes in her yard to deputies.
At 4:59 p.m., deputies were called to the 1500 block of East Monroe Avenue for a report of subjects who broke down a locked door to get into the residence. The caller said they were still inside, but she did not know how many there were. In a written report, Sheriff’s Capt. Ryan Lee said the door was not broke down. The subjects were inside cleaning and had authority to be in the home.
At 4:05 a.m. on Tuesday, deputies were called to Firethorn Lane near Riverton for a report of a cat stuck in a vent of a building. Deputies were unable to remove the cat. The individuals at the scene were advised to contact the landlord as part of the home would need to be taken apart, Lee said.
Lander Police Department
LPD responded to three calls in the 24 period between yesterday’s blotter and todays. The officers responded to a welfare check, VIN inspection and an extra patrol.

Joseph Ballantyne, 53, Riverton, arrested on a U.S. Marshall’s warrant

Misdemeanor citations issued with promise to appear at a later date:
28-year-old Riverton female, citations on four counts of Larceny
33-year-old Riverton male, Possession of a Controlled Substance
46-year-old Riverton male, Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Riverton Police and the Fremont County Coroner’s office were called at 9:10 a.m. Tuesday to the Jack Pine Motel where a man’s body was found in a room. An investigation has been launched.
Police were called to the 100 block of East Madison on Friday where the fuel pump fittings and a hose was taken from an unlocked work truck. Value of the taken items was listed at $450.
A gray speaker box measureing 22″ by 22″ was reported stolen from a pickup parked and unlocked in the 500 block of North 16th east. The theft was reported Friday at 11:36 a.m.
Some siphoned about seven gallons of gas from a fork lift that had been parked at the PAWS Animal Shelter on South Smith Road. The theft was reported at 3:52 p.m. on Friday.
On Saturday, a $700 value Husqvarna chain saw was removed from the bed of a truck in the 700 block of Spencer Street. The theft was reported at 10:07 a.m.
A vicious animal call was received by police at 11:51 p.m. Saturday morning in the 500 block of South Second East. A dog reportedly charged the complainant. Police contacted the owner who said someone had apparently left a gate open and dog got out. When police arrived the dog was back in its yard. No one had been bitten or attacked.
A family fight reported at 5:55 p.m. in the 300 block of Sycamore Drive was an oral argument.
Persons reportedly involved in a fight fight reported in the 100 block of South Third East at 8:03 p.m. Saturday were gone upon the police’s arrival.
at 8:29 p.m. Sunday night police received a report of a roommate who had allegedly taken a television set valued at $376.
A dozen underage persons were issued misdemeanor citations for possession of alcohol Sunday morning just past midnight in three separate incidents in the residence halls of Central Wyoming College. Cited in the first incident was a 20-year-old male, in the second call, three 19-year-old males were cited and in the third incident, a 19-year-old female and a 19-year-old male plus three 20-year-old males and three 20-year-old females were all cited.
On Monday, police responded to a report of a man being disorderly in his front yard in the 300 block of Kinnikinnick Drive. The man was apparently yelling and had ripped his shirt off.
A man appeared at the emergency room at Riverton Memorial Hospital at 8:24 Monday night claiming that he had been a victim of an assault. The incident is under investigation.
