Casper Nordic results in; LVHS girls have strong showing

(Casper, Wyo.) – Casper Nordic results from last weekend’s high school competition have been posted.

Lander Valley High School’s Louisa Austin came in first place in the Varsity Girls Freestyle with a total time of 19:27.5, beating second place by 57 seconds. Three other locals made the top 20: Sammy Crawford at fifth, Emily Schimelpfenig at 14th and Morgan Robins at 16th.

In the Varsity Boys Freestyle competition, LVHS’s Robbie Coulter was the lone local to place in the top 20 at 18.

Landers JV Girls dominated the competition with all six making the top 10. Placing were: Rachael Troxel at first, Emma Miller at second, Kayley Hart at third, Holly McKee at fourth, Jenna Patrick at sixth and Lindsay Crane in 10th.

Lander JV Boys had three reach the top 10. Chris Williams came in third; Luke Thompson came in sixth; and Kamden Sandall came in seventh.

In the Casper Nordic 5k Freestyle Team races, LVHS Boys came in sixth out of seven. Laramie won the top spot.

LVHS Girls came in second overall in the 5k Freestyle Team race. They were one point behing winners, Laramie.
