Fremont County Coroner’s Office
Coroner Ed McAuslan Friday released the identity of a man found dead at Riverton High School’s new athletic complex on Wednesday as 59-year-old George J. Watts of Riverton. McAuslan said Watt’s body would be autopsied at 1 p.m. on Friday in Loveland, Colo. Watts was found in a vehicle parked at the track. He was taken to Riverton Memorial Hospital but efforts to revive him were unsuccessful. “There is nothing suspicious at this time,” McAuslan said. “He was dressed in a jogging suit and red marks on the bottom of his shoes indicated he may have been running on the high school track.”

Ryan Pelis, 20, Cody, Minor in Possession. Christopher Gale, 24, Cody, Driving Under the Influence. Deputies were notified of the pair at 8:18 a.m. at Fast Lane in Shoshoni. The caller said of them came in the business asking for napkins because of spilling some Jagermeister.

Jeffrey Gilman, 25, Lander, Bond Revocation.
Adam Trujillo, 35, Riverton, Bond Revocation.
Kerry Moon, 36, Fort Washakie, Probation Revocation.
At 1:19 p.m., deputies were called to unidentified location regarding a woman’s ex possibly purchasing a firearm. The situation is under investigation.
At 5:46 p.m., deputies received a call from Riverton about a possible violation of a protection order. The case has been referred to the Fremont County Attorney’s Officer for possible charges.
At 7:40 p.m., deputies were called to the Fremont County Ambulance barn outside of Lander for a report of a female who showed up there reporting she was assaulted by her sister.
At 4:11 a.m. on Friday, deputies took a report of a 1989 Ford Thunderbird that was hit by another vehicle sometime over night on the 900 block of East Monroe Avenue in Riverton. The vehicle fled the scene.

The flu bug has hit the RPD making details of Thursday’s PD report unavailable until Monday as Captains Murphy and Smith were unavailable Friday. We can report that the RPD responded to 32 calls in the 24 hour period that ended at Midnight Thursday, including three reports of property damage vehicle wrecks, one hit and run vehicle crash, one fight, one theft from a motor vehicle, one shoplifting incident, six calls for intoxicated persons, three reports of suspicious persons or circumstances, one loitering call, one call for a barking dog, two VIN checks, a welfare check, one ambulance assist, one traffic assist one reported harassment, one REDDI report, one disorderly call, and two citizen assists in addition to the warrant arrest listed above.
Lander Police Department
Leland Rohn, 27, Lander, arrested on a Probation Revocation from a residence in the 100 block of Northside Drive.
Clyde Mclaughlin, 61, Lander, arrested for Driving While Under the Influence – physical control. Lander Chief Jim Carey said police were called to the 100 block of Smith about a possibly intoxicated man getting into a car, and the caller was afraid the individual would try to drive. Police found McLaughlin sitting behind the wheel of a car with the keys. He was subsequently arrested. Carey said he had a BAC of .099.
At 11:06 a.m., police were called to the intersection of Highway 789 and Dillon Drive. Carey said a Lee Malone, 58, of Lander, was cited for not wearing a seatbelt after while driving a pickup she collided with a Child Development Services bus while turning from the highway onto Dillon. Carey said it is believed she was turning too fast for conditions when she hit the bus, which was stopped at the stop sign waiting to enter the highway. Carey said there were children on the bus but no injuries were reported. The driver of the truck was cared for by EMS.
Another wreck was reported on the 300 block of Baldwin Creek Road in a bus loading zone. Carey the wreck involved an SUV and a passenger car. Additional details were not readily available.
