(Riverton, Wyo. – The Central Wyoming College Board of Trustees is set, once again, to address tonight issues stemming from a comment Trustee Judy Pedersen made in public following the November general election.

The discussion was tabled in December, despite having been debated in executive session. This month a two-hour executive session is scheduled to discuss “board code of conduct and personnel issues, including administrative contracts and early retirement requests,” states the published agenda. The board’s regular meeting is set to start at 7:30 p.m. at the Intertribal Education and Community Center.

Concerns were raised in November over statements made by Trustee Judy Pedersen to the local newspaper. She allegedly told the paper, “I don’t really look forward to another four years of being the only person that really looks at the issues.”

Most trustees during the November meeting raised concerns about the comments. Pedersen refused to speak publicly on the issue, saying she had been advised by legal council not speak.

The CWC board’s code of conduct states, “Never criticize the College President, CWC staff, or board members in public.”

In the regular meeting, an action item to address the situation is scheduled.

Other agenda items:

-The board will set its 2013-14 board Calendar.

-Administrative contracts and early retirement requests will be addressed.

-A construction update will be given, as well as a state Legislative update.

-Regular reports will be given.
