(Riverton, Wyo.) – Wednesday night is Financial Aid Information Night at Riverton High School for parents, grandparents, guardians and senior students to learn about how to obtain financial aid to attend college. The program is set for 6:30 p.m. at the James H. Moore Career Center at RHS.
“Kathryn DeWitt from Central Wyoming College will facilitate the evening, which will be basic information on scholarships, student loans and the application for the Federal Student Loan Program,” said Aaron Taylor, the college advisor at RHS.
“It’s really good for people to know how the college financial aid system works and we can answer their questions at this event,” Taylor said.
As a followup, next month RHS will host two separate evenings to help seniors fill out their financial aid applications. Taylor indicated the first of these free events will be Feb. 11th from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Computer Lab, room 250 at RHS and the second will be on Feb. 21st , also from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Career Center room 30.
