Togwotee Trail update for the new year; several underpasses open for snowmobile crossing

DSCN1346ed(Fremont County, Wyo.) – The Wyoming Department of Transportation has issued an update on the Togwotee Trail project.

Three underpasses are open for snowmobile crossing under U.S. 26/287, safely away from traffic. Free parking is available throughout the Togwotee Trail, in designated pullouts and areas added during reconstruction.  Togwotee Trail Recreational Parking Areas Map.

No finishing work is scheduled during  the winter season on the Trail. In 2013, finishing work will begin in spring as weather permits. Completion date for all finishing, clean-up, and off-road work for the Togwotee Trail project is in July 2013.

Donating printed copies of the Togwotee Trail book to public libraries in Dubois, Jackson, Lander, Moran, Riverton, the Wind River Indian Reservation, and the State Capitol has been completed.  Follow the link to view a copy online, Togwotee Trail Ebook .
