(Riverton, Wyo.) – The Board of Directors of Injury Prevention Resources is pleased to announce that Noel Cooper has been named as the new Executive Director of IPR.
Mr. Cooper had formerly served as the Safety Education Coordinator for the agency and will continue to fulfill some of the responsibilities of that role. After living in Montana for eight years, Noel is proud to be back home in Fremont County and is excited to lead our team of professionals to carry on the mission of Injury Prevention Resources.
IPR is a non-profit agency with a mission dedicated to saving lives across Wyoming. “We attempt to meet that goal with programs emphasizing safe driving in schools, and in the community. We accomplish our goals through numerous aspects: Our Education portion includes distribution of child safety seats and bicycle helmets. We also utilize an impaired/distracted driving simulator at the High School Level. Though I have found that most the community knows us through our Annual Safety Rodeos conducted at all Fremont County schools for grades K-3″, Cooper stated.
IPR’s DUI Supervised Probation program provides a sentencing option for courts dealing with Hardcore DUI offenders. In addition, our SCRAMx alcohol monitoring bracelets continue to keep our community safe by providing client accountability through continuous alcohol monitoring for Fremont County Probation, Parole and Court Services.
“The root of our organization is Highway Safety. Our continued programming and the communities support throughout the years has allowed us to focus on safety on a broad spectrum. The freedom our organization has to adapt to the needs of our community allows us to fill gaps in services in order to assure that we are helping in the most pertinent methods. Our mission remains the same and we are eager to not only continue our programs but also expand into new horizons.”
IPR is located at 303 N. Broadway in Riverton and we continue to be available to all of Fremont County via appointment.
