Police Blotter: Arrests; Two hit-and-run crashes in Riverton; Trespassing cat lover in Lander; Horses missing from pasture near Riverton

Riverton Police Department

Arrests:

Steven Carpenter, 22, Riverton, arrested on a Failure to Appear warrant

Danelle Enos, 20, Fort Washakie, arrested for Minor Under the Influence of Alcohol, Public Intoxication and Resisting Arrest.

Vincent YellowBear, 51, Arapahoe, arrested on a Failure to Appear warrant and Public Intoxication

Francene Lawson, 52, Arapahoe, arrested on a Contempt of Court warrant

Nathon Blake, 27, Riverton, arrested for Driving While Under the Influence of Alcohol and Driving While  Under Suspenseion.

Sidney Berry, 37, Riverton, arrested for Driving While Under the Influence of Alcohol.

Gerald SittingEagle, 50, Riverton, arrested on a Contempt of Court warrant

Calls:

Police were notified of a hit-and-run vehicle crash on East Roosevelt Avenue on the 22nd at 6 a.m. A person discovered their vehicle had been struck and pushed into a fence. A vehicle parked nearby that had sustained damage was suspected in the crash. Police are investigating.

Another hit and run crash was reported at 2:15th on the 22nd when a white Ford truck was struck by another vehicle. The driver of the second vehicle apparently left a note for the owner of the pickup.

A resident in the 1400 block of Pershing reported that some outside Christmas decorations had been stolen from a yard. A suspect vehicle had been identified, but when stopped by police, there was no evidence of the missing display inside. The display was made up of a Santa Claus and reindeer.

 

 Lander Police Department

Arrests:

Michael Timbana, 31, of Fort Washakie was arrested late friday night after hitting two cars and then finally crashing into the southwest corner of an apartment building on North Second Street. A female passenger was also in the vehicle. Timbana was arrested after being taken to the hospital. Read the full story here.

Ivan Bear, 43, of Arapahoe was arrested on a warrant Sunday evening at 5:40 pm. Bear was attempting to enter a vehicle on the 800 block of Main Street in Lander. He was intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of 0.23 percent.

Calls:

At 12:22 p.m. on the 22nd, a call was made to police regarding a alleged trespassing. A female was feeding stray cats on a property on North Garfield Street. The reporting party told police that he was very upset since this causes overbreeding and cats urinating on the property.

On the 600 block of Lincoln street at 4:04 p.m., a female juvenile was reportedly out of control. Officers arrived and settled her down. She was later sent to the girls group home.

A concerned bartender called LPD at 12:17 a.m. from the 200 block of Main Street in regards to a highly intoxicated subject. The subject was not causing any problems, but was very drunk. Officers helped take him home.

The female allegedly feeding stray cats was spotted again on the 100 block of Garfield at 10:32 a.m. on the 23rd and a call was made to police.

Fremont County Sheriffs Department

Arrests:

Chet Killsree, 42, of Riverton was arrested on a probation violation.

Catherine Thulin, 37, of Springville, UT was arrested for  driving while under the influence. She had an open container in the vehicle.

Calls:

Five horses were reported missing from a property on Eight Mile Road in Riverton  at 9:57 a.m on the 21st.

A maroon Ford F150 collided with a silver Chevy Tahoe at 119 West 2nd Street in Shoshoni at 1:43 p.m. Friday afternoon. Airbags deployed and the windshield on the pickup was broken. The deputy on scene reported no injuries.

A female and male were spotted at in the 1500 block of Monroe Ave at 11:28 p.m. Saturday night who appeared to be suspicious and breaking into a unit. Suspects fled the scene before deputies arrived.

A man was reported bitten by a dog at large at 4:35 p.m. on Sunnyside Ave in Riverton. The owners of the dog are unknown and the whereabouts of the dog are also unknown as well.
