(Dubois, Wyo.) – Grammy award winning musician Mike Dowling will perform Wednesday night beginning at 7 p.m. in Dubois at the Dennison Lodge. The third in a series called “Live from the Dennison Lodge”, the concert will be recorded by Wyoming Public Radio, edited and then rebroadcast to 116 radio stations in the US, the UK, Scandinavia and New Zealand through the public radio service PRX. Project organizer, John Angst stated,” this is a unique opportunity to market the town of Dubois to people who might not otherwise hear about us”. He explained that beginning in 2013, an additional 22 concerts will be hosted at the Dennison Lodge over a 16 month period, all broadcast live.
Guitarist Mike Dowling draws his inspiration from deep within the roots of American guitar. Fluent in several styles, Dowling has captured the hearts of acoustic music fans throughout the world with his engaging voice, wit, and elegant interpretations of blues, swing, ragtime and original compositions.
Seating is limited and the concerts will begin at 7 p.m. sharp, so be sure to arrive early. Admission is free but a donation of $15 would be appreciated to benefit the Wyoming Public Radio unrestricted development fund.
