(Lander, Wyo.) – There are at least three Christmas Tree sales lots in Fremont County this holiday season selling trees with proceeds going back to local schools.

The Cornerstone Christian School of Lander has set up in the parking lot of Mr.D’s Food Center again this year selling a variety of Christmas trees. “Our best seller so far is the Scotch Pine but the Baslam Fir is also popular,” said Jennifer Reed on Monday night. “Our trees range in price from $27 to $66 and one again, this year, Mr.D’s is giving all the proceeds back to the school. We really appreciate their support.”

The lot was busy with plenty of helpers Monday night, as Amber Grogan was busy cooking supper inside the tent on a wood stove a dinner of pork chops, green beans and potatoes. While the temperature was hovering just above freezing outside, inside the tent it was warm and cozy as customers would come and go. “We’ve sold about half of our inventory already, it’s really going well,” Reed said.

The Cornerstone Christmas Tree lot is not the only one in Lander again this year. The Lander Valley High School Band has set up their annual Christmas tree sales lot on the west side of Ace Hardware downtown.

In Riverton, St. Margaret’s Catholic School is selling a wide variety of Christmas Trees at thier lot adjacent to the school in the 600 block of East Park.
