(Dubois, Wyo.) – Christmas spirit is overflowing in Dubois on Saturday, Dec. 1. The Dubois Chamber of Commerce, in conjunction with local merchants, is planning a day of festivities to kick off the holidays. Businesses all across the picturesque mountain town are offering sale specials throughout the day.

In the evening, the property on the corner of First and Ramshorn streets, locally known as the Corner Property, will be lit by Christmas lights at 5:30 p.m. After the ceremony, visit one of Dubois’ many restaurants to take advantage of the unique dinner specials. End the evening with the Dubois Library/Dubois Museum’s annual Spirit of Christmas concert at 7 p.m. at the Dennison Lodge.

The Chamber’s Christmas lighting ceremony will feature Christmas music, the Stocking Stuffer Raffle drawing, and the celebratory lighting of the property that will decorate downtown Dubois during the holiday season. Free refreshments and holiday treats will be served at the event. The Stocking Stuffer Raffle features five stockings filled with gift certificates to local businesses in Dubois. Each stocking is valued at more than $250. Tickets are available for purchase at Tammy’s Coffee Haus, Taylor Creek Exxon and the Chamber of Commerce office.

The Dubois Library/Dubois Museum Spirit of Christmas Concert is a free concert that features local favorite Jessica Camilla O’Neal and the Neversweat Players serenading the audience with a selection of holiday and cowboy favorites. The historic Dennison Lodge in the Dubois Museum complex is handicapped accessible. Free desserts and refreshments will be provided by the Dubois Friends of the Library. Seating is limited and first come, first served.

Retail merchants throughout Dubois are offering specials ranging from 10-70 percent off. Restaurants are offering dinner specials that highlight the wide variety of dining opportunities available in the small town. All businesses are open regular business hours. Specials are for one day only.
