Local resident hit $240K jackpot at Wind River Casino Tuesday

(Riverton, Wyo.) – The Wind River Casino south of Riverton had a big winner this week, according to Marketing Director Jackie Dorothy.
“Yes, we had a big winner on our in house progressive slot,” she said Wednesday. “It happened yesterday during our weekly Senior Tuesday promotion. A Fremont County man won a $240,000 jackpot,” she said. The man asked that his name not be released, she said.
“Our in house progressive is different from the progressives tied into to games in other states, when someone elsewhere could win,” Dorothy said. “With our in house progressive, people can come in and look at the total and know if someone local has won or not. It requires a maximum $3 bet and you have hit the jackpot to win,” she said.
