Six earn trip to Indian National Finals Junior Rodeo in November

(Lander, Wyo.) – Six local youth have qualified for the 2012 National Indian Finals Rodeo to be held November 6-10 at the South Point Casino in Las Vegas, Nev.

The qualifiers are: Jared Noseep of Fort Washakie in Jr. Bull Riding; Haley Meeks of Crowheart, Camille Whiteman of Arapahoe, and Aspen Winfield of Riverton in Junior Barrel Racing, and Dustin Smith of Ethete and Joby Barquin of Kinnear in Jr. Breakaway Roping.

The six are now out and about in the county doing fundraising to be able to afford to the trip to Las Vegas.

This year’s INFR will include three performances of the JR/SR finals as well as seven exciting performances of Indian Professional Rodeo at its best. It is the fifth year in a row that the event has been staged at the South Point Casino.

The 2012 INFR tour season included a record 17 tour rodeos across the country.
