(Riverton, Wyo.) – Motorists should expect lane closures at bridges in Lander and Riverton this week as bridge decks are scheduled for inspections.
The Little Wind River bridge deck on Wyoming 789 south of Riverton is being inspected today and the work, performed by the Wyoming Department of Transportation, is expected to take about eight hours to complete.
The Main Street bridge deck over the Middle Fork of the Popo Agie in Lander is scheduled for inspection on Wednesday, Oct. 10. This work is expected to take about five hours to complete.
The Little Wind Bridge is located at milepost 104.13 on Wyoming 789, while the Lander bridge is located at milepost .17 on U.S. 287.
“Please slow down through these work zones. Remember to pay attention or pay the price,” said Cody Beers, WYDOT public relations specialist in Riverton.
Other Fremont County bridges scheduled for inspections this week include a bridge at milepost 102.81 west of Riverton on U.S. 26 near Diversion Dam Junction, and the other is located at milepost 41.62 on U.S. 287 across the Sweetwater River near Sweetwater Station. Motorists should expect lane closures and short traffic delays at these locations.
