(Riverton, Wyo.) – The National Weather Service Forecast Office in Riverton Thursday said Canadian high pressure would keep partly cloudy skies and cooler temperatures across the region today with a few snow showers possible over the northern and central mountains. Another shot of cold canadian air is predicted to move across the region tonight and bring a chance of rain or snow showers to much of the state late tonight and Friday behind the next cold front. A freeze warning was issued for the area for Thursday morning with temperatures expected to dip as low as 25 degrees through mid morning.
Riverton: Mostly sunny, with a high near 48. East northeast wind around 6 mph, low tonight around 23.
Lander: Mostly sunny, with a high near 49. Calm wind becoming east around 5 mph in the afternoon, low tonight around 29.
Dubois: Mostly sunny, with a high near 42. East southeast wind 5 to 9 mph becoming north in the morning, tonight 20% chance of snow, low of 23

FRIDAY…ANOTHER QUITE COLD WEATHER SYSTEM WILL MOVE INTO THE REGION. THIS WILL BRING A ROUND OF LIGHT SNOW OR FLURRIES EAST OF THE DIVIDE…WITH THE FIRST SNOWFALL OF THE SEASON POSSIBLE IN RIVERTON…LANDER AND DUBOIS EARLY FRIDAY MORNING…POSSIBLY MIXING WITH RAIN IN THE AFTERNOON WITH HIGHS ONLY IN THE 30S TO AROUND 40.
