(Dubois, Wyo.) – Don’t you just hate Mondays! After this morning, Harold Albright sure does.
An single vehicle crash occurred late this morning on Highway 26 West of Dubois involving a commercial truck and a flat bed trailer hauling a front end loader. The equipment belonged to Albright Sand and Gravel, in Dubois. According to the truck’s driver, whose identity was not immediately released, the crash occurred when the vehicle and trailer hit a low spot in the highway at the intersection of Wagon Box Lane, the trailer went airborne and it snapped off the back of the commercial truck towing it.
The trailer and loader then traveled along the highway untethered and rolled down the the embankment onto private property on the south side of the highway. The trailer tipped over at that point. Company owner and owner of the rig Harold Albright said he had concerns about that spot for some time now. ” I’ve reported that low spot to the Wyoming Highway Department before this incident occurred; unfortunately, it’s a condition that keeps getting worse and sinking more,” he said.
Noting the day of the week, both the driver and Albright were overheard to say: “this is one of the reasons I hate Mondays.”
