(Cody, Wyo.) – The Shoshone National Forest will be holding four public meetings as part of its forest plan revision process, including two in Fremont County. The draft forest plan and draft environmental impact statement were released on July 30, 2012, and an official 90-day comment period began on August 4, 2012.
Richard Harold “Rick” Williams, 65, of Riverton, died Monday, September 10, 2012 at Riverton Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services for , 57, will be held 10:00 Wed., September 12, 2012 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Father John Gaffney officiating. Interment will follow at the Friday Cemetery. A rosary will be held 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with a wake to follow at the family home, 473 Ethete Road.

(Lander, Wyo.) – The last remaining piece of the Lander Community Center was toppled yesterday. Destroyed by fire in July, the Community Center, circa 1920, was demolished by contractor Tim Bales, who left the fireplace standing until Wednesday afternoon. Ramo Anesi built the iconic fire place; Ramo was also the builder of the red stone Lander wall that surrounded the old high school and is still in place on West Main Street at the site of the Lander Business Park.
