Oh, isn't that just great! How does that happen in this day and age? And they wonder why we want a photo ID in order to vote….
Is identification of voters the problem in question or some other issue?
Is identification of voters the problem in question or some other issue?
Remember when they changed districts last year… has nothing to do with needing voter ID's… LOL The fault is on the County Clerk for not having the districts clearly broken down before people rolled in the door to vote!
but, yes, you would think all this would have been prepared well ahead of vote time!
This was not the only blunder during this campaign.Dist.5 experienced the mishap of sending the candidates and voters wrong ballot information. This occurred midway thru the primary.I had questioned it 3 times and was told it was correct and it was Not.The clerks office reissued a sample ballot and I was told a person had to re-vote their early ballot. The office also stated I did not have voters on other roads I questioned and I did.
The incorrect distribution of the 30 ballots is now a train wreck. This error has now triggered the state statutes to kick in. I read the statute and it absolutely deserves a F- in protecting the constitutional rights of the voters.I was at the clerks office when this information was being released. I was outraged when the facts of the matter came pouring out. I hurried and looked up the statute. I was appalled to see what we will be witnessing. The statute read simply that when a error such as this occurs and the candidates cannot be defined as winners or losers a new mail ballot can be sent out to the dist. involved. What does that mean..this means because of the 30 ballots and only 20 votes between between the top two became the validation to re-vote. Now the stink part comes into play. Because Tim was claimed as 50 under and that's wrong as well he was 40… another error, and Richard are now thrown under the bus. This also means the precinct and I mean the whole precinct will vote for two candidates. This exempts…all other Dist. 2 votes. This means the people who voted and the people who did not vote in that particular precinct will decide who the commissioner is. I went ballistic. This is a clear example of bad legislation that literally incinerated everyone constitutional rights. I am contacting our Fremont Co. legislation to immediately write a new statute to correct this horrendous infringement for the next WY. legislative session. This has blatantly disenfranchised Dist . 2 voters rights. The alternative of the other candidates was to take it dist. court and try to get an injunction to challenge the statute, this is very costly. There was absolutely not thought put forth in this statute. This campaign now is tainted poison for all involved. What a disgusting display of violating our constitutional rights!
