County10.com’s earlier report on the History Day participants:
By Gayla Hammer, History Day Coordinator
(Laramie) – Lander will be well represented at the National History Day Contest at the University of Maryland in June. After months of research, creating projects, and making modifications to them, 25 students qualified for the state competition that was held at the University of Wyoming on April 16th. Ten of the students placed first or second in Laramie, because of that hard work. Six students placed 3rd, which makes them alternates. If students who placed first or second are unable to attend the national contest, then the alternates are given the opportunity to participate in this event.
