Sheriff’s Office Discover Man That Was Arrested Tuesday Night Has Felony Drug Charges out of Missouri

(Lander, Wyoming) – 48-year-old Joseph Seelaus Cady from Shoshoni was arrested on Red Canyon Road near Lander this past Tuesday night for driving while under the influence and interference . Cady told authorities his name is Paul Cady, but Friday afternoon the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office issued a press release stating they learned Cady’s true identity and that he is wanted out of the state of Missouri on felony drug charges. He now faces additional charges in Wyoming for possessing and providing false information.

On Tuesday night Cady was operating a 1995 Ford truck with two other occupants and allegedly wrecked into a power pole on Red Canyon Road, knocking out power and telephone service in the area. According to Captain Ryan Lee, it appears Cady was involved in an altercation with a male passenger after the vehicle was wrecked. Both passengers eventually left the area after flagging down a passing motorist who took them into town. Cady was found by two Deputy Sheriffs who were in the area to investigate the collision. Cady was hiding about 100 yards away from the vehicle behind some bushes and was taken into custody.
