Beynon St. John sold printing business after 48 years of family ownership
(Lander, Wyo.) – Tracy and Donny Davison of Lander are pleased to announce the purchase of Western Printing in Lander from Beynon St. John. Tracy has been an employee at Western Printing since 1983. The Davison’s became part owners in 2001 and now are thrilled to be sole owners. We are going to continue our on-time, high quality printing, copying and binding services to Lander and the surrounding communities. We look forward to many years of local, hometown support.
Western Printing has been associated with the St. John family for 48 years. It was founded in 1964 by Beynon’s father, Tom St. John. The business was originally located in the old Fremont Hotel building at the SE Corner of Main and Third. At that time it was called Washakie Printers. The business was moved in 1966 to a garage on the alley where Meridian Trust Federal Credit Union now sits. The name was changed to Western Printing in 1972 and moved to its current location on Highway 789 in 1983.
Beynon grew up around the print shop, and began working full time there in 1974, and except for two years, has been with the company since. In 1986 his wife, Midge, joined the firm and helped run the business for 19 years before she retired in 2005. While Beynon has sold the business, he plans to continue working there on a part-time basis.
Beynon and Midge wish to thank the people of Fremont Co. for all their support over the years, and congratulate Donny and Tracy on their purchase of the business.
For all your printing and copying needs, Tracy and Donny invite you to please stop by 8117 Hwy 789 or give them a call at 332-2981.
