County 10 Surpasses 45,000 Readers

County10.com has surpassed 45,000 unique visitors. The milestone was recorded on Wednesday, March 14. To be clear, those are individual readers who have read nearly a half-million pages in just the first 85 days since we launched. Keep in mind, the 2010 U.S. Census puts Fremont County at just over 40,000 people.
I cannot express enough how AMAZING those numbers are for a county the size of ours. That’s more than any other media outlet in the region including print, television and radio.
With this news, I’d like to offer you my sincerest, THANK YOU. Thanks for making our vision a reality. We knew there was an enormous need, but we didn’t know just how much our friends and neighbors would rally around “the 10.” If there is just one thing we all have in common in Fremont County – it’s now, County 10.
It’s my belief that if we do right to our readers and advertisers while, providing real-time, breaking news, we can only succeed. It’s important to point out, we’re doing this as a service to our community. My company, PitchEngine, happens to be headquartered here in Fremont County. Because of this, we’re able to make County 10 tick using our in-house technologies and growing team of talented people. Honestly, if we were never to turn a profit, that’d okay by me. Fortunately, that’s not the case.
The good news is, we’re just getting started. In a few days, Victoria Fregoso will join Ernie Over, June Bonasera and the rest of the team to increase the amount of news and content we’re able to produce. Not only that, but we’ll be mashing up video, photos and text into an awesome reader experience.
So, next time you see one of your fellow “10ers” wearing their County 10 badge on their car, bicycle or window, shoot them a smile or a thumbs-up. We’ll take care of the prizes!
Thanks for all your support!
Sincerely,
Jason Kintzler
