The Fremont County Commissioners this past week dealt with a number of housekeeping measures, but also awarded several bids for remodeling in the courthouse, a lighting retrofit project and leasing a new county-owned parcel in North Riverton.A low bid of $57,630 submitted by Electrical Dynamics for a lighting retrofit project in the courthouse was accepted, as was a bid of $12,656 from Steve Husted to lease a 112 acre parcel of land in Riverton known as the Major property. Husted submitted a bid of $113 per acres. Commissioners also accepted a proposal to spend up to $3,000 for painting and new carpeting for a meeting room in the courthouse, known as the Map Room.In personnel actions, Commissioners approved making two part-time positions at the Dubois Branch Library into one full-time position and they approved a request from the County Clerk’s Office to fill a vacant part-time position two part-time summer employees, one for the main office and one for the Elections department. Commissioners also approved the hiring of a temporary full time employee for the Election office between April and December to help with the upcoming elections. A resolution was also approved from the State of Wyoming’s Surplus Property Division that would authorize designated county employees to purchase from that agency.
In another action, Commissioners approved the re-subdivision of lots 62, 63, 73, 74, 75, 76 & 86, in the Upper Litter Warm Springs Creek subdivision, consolidating changes over the years into a single document. In another planning action, a simple subdivision was approved for Track 12, Upper Slate Creek Tracts.
A request from the County’s auditors from DeCoria Maichel & Teague for a fee increase for work done on the recently approved county audit was denied by the Commissioners.
In a final action item, Commissioners approved two amendments to the Fremont County Medical and Dental Benefit Plan Document, including one for an open enrollment period and the other to add a one-time special enrollment opportunity from Feb. 1-29, 2012 for previously enrolled individuals not eligible to enroll as a late enrollee.
