Lander Police Department
The Lander Police Department responded to 88 calls for service over the past week, according to Chief Jim Carey. Of the 88 calls 10 involved the use of alcohol and 7 arrests were made. Included in the arrests were:
–Thirty two-year-old Christy Wanstall of Lander was arrested Saturday night after she was observed speeding and drifting out of her lane of travel in the 1200 block of Main Street. After being stopped by an LPD Officer, Christy failed field sobriety testing and was subsequently arrested for Driving While Under the Influence of alcohol, speeding, failure to maintain a lane of travel and driving without insurance.
–Thirty two-year-old Benjamin Runningshield of Arapahoe was arrested Saturday night after he allegedly attempted to break into a pop machine in the 100 block of North Fourth Street. When Benjamin observed the LPD in the area he allegedly attempted to discard the bolt cutters he was using, and attempted to run from police, Carey said. Runningsheild was stopped a short time later and arrested for public intoxication, breaking into a coin machine and property destruction. Runningshield’s alleged accomplice, 26-year-old Kayla Seminole, was charged with accessory before the fact and possession of stolen property.
Fremont County Sheriff’s Department
Three arrests were reported over the weekend by Captain Ryan Lee. Emily Gettleman, 24, Dubois was picked up on a probation revocation; Layla Haberman, 18, of Lander was arrested for simple assault and criminal entry, and David Killsree, 34, Riverton was arrested for breach of the peace.
According to Lee, Haberman was arrested following an altercation at a home in Hudson. Under investigation is a pornograpy complaint filed with the Sheriff’s Department on Saturday evening and a bar fight in Dubois that apparently involved six or seven individuals Sunday afternoon just before 2 p.m.
Riverton Police Department
Five of eight arrests reported over the weekend in Riverton were alcohol-related, according to Captain C.T. Smith of the RPD. Arrested were: Steven Amos, 40, Ethete, for public intoxication; Franklin Oldman, 32, Arapahoe, driving while under the influence and for no ignition interlock device on his vehicle; Jessica Weliever, 27, Riverton, DUI; Todd Pope, 36, Riverton, DUI and driving while on suspension; Antonia Addison-Hall, 42, St. Stephens, DUI, Gaylene Eldridge, 52, Riverton, on a probation revocation warrant; Gabriel Shotgun, 40, Riverton, for child endangerment and on a warrant for probation violation, and Eldon Antelope, 47, Riverton, disturbing the peace.
