A new business opened in Lander today just off of Main Street between 4th and 5th. Teton Therapy’s new Lander facility is now the third one in Fremont County, including the Duffy Fitness Center in Dubois and the main cllinic in Riverton.Teton Therapy specializes in physical therapy, occupational therapy and hand therapy. The firm has 18 employees, three in Lander, two in Dubois and 13 in Riverton.
Owner Jeff McMenamy greeted visitors and is showing off he new Lander center facilities and equipment this morning. Grand operning festivities are scheduled over the noon hour and again this evening with hors d’oeuvres and refreshments until 1:30 p.m. and then hors d’oeuvres, refreshments and beer and wine from 5 to 8 p.m.
Teton Therapy offers free consultations to anyone who may be in need of therapy services. “Even area physicians do not know the extent of what we do here, and we invite anyone in for a consultationt to learn about the services we provide.
The newly remodeled space at 425 Lincoln (midway between Main and Lincoln and across the parking lot from the Lander Children’s Museum) is comprised of 5,500 square feet.
“We’re not your ordinary physical therapy shop here,” McMenamy said. “We use plastic scale models to show our clients what we can do for the problem they come in with. Our ultimate goal is that many people leave Fremont County for doctoring elsewhere and my vision is to have a place to reach all residents of the county with a physical therapy approach to good health.”
McMenamy said another goal of the Teton Therapy clinics is to “help people become invested in their health.”
