Arrests; Dog poisoned near Riverton; Motorhome vs. Semi-truck on South Pass

Riverton Police Department


Four arrests were reported in the 24-hour period that ended at 7 a.m Thursday. Arrests included: Anderson Antelope, 50, Riverton for public intoxication; Marion Oldman, 41, Riverton, on a municipal warrant; Clement Sittingeagle, 39, Arapahoe, public intoxication and  urinating in public; Jacob Bolte, 24, Riverton on a municipal warrant.


A Police Department vehicle  was “clipped” Wednesday at the intersection of South 9th West and West Main at 11:16 a.m. when a vehicle knocked a mirror off of the RPD’s Animal Control Van.

Riverton Volunteer Fire  Department


One call was reported at 2:50 p.m. Wednesday for a minor fire at RTO Hilltop on West Main in  Riverton.

Fremont County Sheriffs Department


One arrest was noted in the past day, that of David Hanson, 40, Riverton for contempt of court.


Deputies in the Dubois area are investigating a reported use of a controlled substance known by the name of Spice.


Riverton area deputies are investigating the poisoning of a dog who died as the result of apparently ingesting anti-freeze. The dog died last week and veterinary laboratory results showed anti-freeze as the cause of death.


The inmate count at the county detention center in Lander Thursday morning was 136 inmates inside the jail, 14 in substance abuse treatment centers around the state and three inmates on home detention.


Wyoming Highway Patrol

Troopers were notified of a crash at 7:13 p.m. Wednesday on South Pass where a motorhome pulling an enclosed trailer apparently slid into the side of a tractor-trailer unit, causing significant damage to the trailer.

Lander Police Department

There was no report from the LPD Thursday morning.
