Man arrested after shotgun blasts in home
FCSO Capt. Ryan Lee said Deputies had been summoned to a residence in reference to shots being fired inside a home. When Deputies arrived, Steven Clawson exited the home with a shotgun. After a brief standoff with Deputies, Lee said Clawson fired the shotgun in the air and then surrendered. He was taken into custody without further incident.
An investigation into the incident revealed that Clawson allegedly pointed the firearm at two different persons
inside the home, and had fired multiple rounds through the walls and roof of the home, Lee said. No one was injured in the incident.
Clawson was booked into the Fremont County Detention Center in Lander on suspicion of Aggravated Assault, Kidnapping, and Felonious Restraint for allegedly holding two female subjects at gun point inside the home. The case has been forwarded to the Fremont County Attorney’s Office and further charges are pending.
